Tahun 2013 pantas berlari..

Esok bermulalah bulan Mei yang membawa banyak kemungkinan...

1 mei hari cuti, 7 mei juga cuti hol bagi Pahang.

Tapi yang paling bermakna adalah tarikh 5 haribulan yang ditunggu-tunggu oleh ramai orang, 

Tarikh 5 haribulan ini juga mungkin ditakuti oleh sebahagian yang lain...

Looking forward to visit my old primary school, hoping to meet familiar faces at my saluran. :)

I am proud of my ADUN, touted to be one of the most performing ADUN in Selangor...

so not really a difficult choice.  

i pray that he will win again. 

I pray that Malaysia will see a new dawn post 5/5.

Malaysia is truly a great country.  We have so much potentials to be a great nation!

Tomorrow is Labour Day. Happy holiday!

Pejam celik dah 7 tahun merantau di Pahang.  

Bermula Mei 2006 sehinggalah Mei 2013 gembira menghirup udara Darul Makmur.

Semoga kemakmuran Pahang lebih terasa pasca 5 mei..insha Allah.

Tahun ni ditakdirkan tak dapat bonus sebab cuti tanpa gaji tahun lepas.

Tapi tak kisah je, akan minta "pampasan" from none other than my dear hubby..ha ha

Allah yang atur urusan rezeki ini, kan..insha Allah, rezeki kan ada banyak pintu :)

I have to tell myself to really plan my current income rather than merasa ketidakcukupan.

Income yang Allah beri kena dirancang elok-elok. 

Ke mana dibelanjakan - saham dunia, saham akhirat,  atau belanja hangus?

Call me pessimist but i am done comparing with others' material achievements.

Hanya kerana bonus lebih 1-2 bulan dari orang lain (taklah banyak mana selepas disapu LHDN & ditolak EPF), sepanjang 12 bulan pula kita overly stressed.

tapi tak bolehlah bermalas-malasan pulak. Hilang berkat & job satisfaction sendiri.

I am going to enjoy the 12 months as it is. 

Redha itu pintu sanity. Ianya pohon berteduh supaya manusia tidak berdengki, putus asa dan sebagainya.

We are BFG!

Yes, we are all back for good.
It's been more than a month we are in tanahair tercinta.

I reported for office duty 2 weeks ago. Straight jumped into Business Plan season and every day is a stay back day. Have to adjust quickly, trying to remember faces & numbers and pick up things from where i left one year ago.

Dinner di rumah hampir setiap hari dibeli dari kedai.
Lunch pun begitu.
Sarapan hampir selalu.

Alhamdulillah, Abi & co. tak kisah sangat walaupun tak sempat prepare meal 3 kali sehari macam dulu-dulu.
Fatwaku yang mudah - apa nak di-stress-kan sangat jika kita makan untuk hidup.

I have enough of people making me feel guilty for not cooking.
I have enough of people assuming i have time to do what they think i should be doing.
stay away from me!! (menjerit seorang diri)

Lepas habis musim business plan, insha Allah, dapur akan cuba diberasapkan.
Atau mungkin aku lebih bersemangat bila berjaya masuk rumah sendiri.
(alasan)

After 2 weeks of adjusting to the job, conclusion mudah adalah aku seorang yang manja.
Sesiapa ada nombor ejen pembantu rumah segera, bak mai sini.

Salah Email Lagi...

Back in the year 2003 ( i think), thanks to my good friend, Mr. I, who was so into technologies and stuff, i was introduced to opening a Gmail account.  This was during Gmail's beta phase. At that time, not many Malaysians know about Gmail yet. So, i get the chance to "book" the email address early using the full spelling of my (oh-so-common) name... nurxxxxx@gmail.com.

Now, i face the "repercussions" of having the email address bearing a common name, which could be the landing account / default for mis-spelling of nur.xxxxx@gmail.com or norxxxxx@gmail.com...

First, i got this email from Maxis reminding me "to pay outstanding bills" (and i am not a maxis customer).  And thanks to the "no-reply" email that i COULD NOT tell Maxis that they've got the wrong person!

Then, a PTPTN email confirming "my" application...complete with personal details...

Next, is from a beauty company...

Then, from a bank...(no PIN number there :) )

Today, a quotation from a wedding planner...(wow, weddings do cost a lot - @ RM35 per guest!!)

A few personal emails with attachment for work groups etc.

Not to mention promotional emails which are all junk.

And request to confirm that "I" actually create an email account, twitter account and whatnots which i didn't.

So far, no interesting emails and all so boring. he he...

No wonder people have funny email addresses like kuihkacang@xxx.com or mukaseposen@xyz.com.

Rest assured, their friends won't salah hantar email to someone else. :)

And, all the intended recipients bearing the name "norxxxxx"s are actually of different binti's.....

My poor email a/c is a bakul for at least 2-3 people...

And since i don't have their actual email addresses, there's no way for me to tell my fellow Nurxxxxxs" to be more careful.

I always manage with just a short reply of "Sorry, you've got the wrong email address" to the sender.

Most people i replied to did not reply back.

Like when you tell someone on the phone, they've got the wrong number and the caller just hang up?

Talk about courtesy.

*Just before i publish this, just got a nice message from the wedding planner. 

Glad, there's still hope for some manners in this country...:)

Anyways, sorry tauke, i am long married. May be for my children in 10 years' time? :)

Meeting the Author of 'Life is an Open Secret'

Baru-baru ni dapat peluang berjumpa dengan penulis buku ini ...!

Actually she has written 4 books but LIAOS is her most famous.
Sis Zabrina just received her PhD from Newcastle University. So she came to OZ to collect her scroll and Adelaide happened to be one of her stopovers. :)

Alhamdulillah dapat peluang berjumpa sebelum dia balik ke Malaysia.

Meeting her is like meeting a long lost friend, so friendly & easy going.

Apapun, her personality memang sukar dilupakan. 

As consolation for kenangan bersama, i have her "autographed" my notebook  :)

Recently, ada students ajak Abi main bowling. Usually Saturday morning, kalau free & rajin, Umi gi garage sales. So happen, this bowling alley ada offer early bird for $12 per person for 2 games inc. shoe rent.
Abi already made the booking for 9.30am to get the early birds discount but we got to the place soooo late....On the way tu, macam nak cancel dah sebab price after 10am is almost double. And that times 5 people? pengsan. But the cashier lady was kind enough to let us pay the early bird price even though we were late huhu. happy lah budak2 and "mak budak"..:)

2nd game, mom lost to everyone...bagi can saja...

 The "pagar" kat kiri kanan lane tu automatic. So, whenever the kids' turn, pagar tu naik sendiri.
Of coz mak ayah boleh kalah dengan anak-anak...he he.
Abi got a few strikes in the first game. Umi lepas 100 mark. Phewww..
Tapi 2nd game dah flat dah..

Interestingly, they got this portable stand for little hands and people with back problem yang 

tak boleh angkat bola berat...neat. Letak bola atas sangkar, and just...

Next, we went lunch @ Malaysians' favourite restaurant, the Swinging Bowl.

Nearby, ada some sort of carnival for kids, which was a pre-event to a big Christmas Parade to be held next month. The carnival was widely advertised, we got its pamphlet at the restaurant masa lunch tu.

So off we went...

Seeking Forgiveness..

Just a humble attempt to write a malay poem...

The idea came, at wee hours of a sleepless night...

After (my usual) long conversation with dearest hubby.

I often find such conversations to be 'stress-relieving' as he's always a good listener, and a good adviser :)

This poem is about seeking forgiveness 

from ALlah, from friends...from everyone.

Keampunan..Masihkah ada ruang?

barah air yang bertakung 

keruh 

berkeladak 

menggigit besi - punah

menghakis hati - parah

mengunyah darah saudaranya

gelap

sakit

tenggelam mencari punca

lemas mencari kata

credit

ku himpun untaian kemaafan

kepadamu wahai sahabat

nafsu, dunia dan prasangka

telah merobek ikatan kita

ya Allah

telah berdekad ku diberi waktu

I'm going to miss this moment, definitely

Menjadi "Ibu di Rumah" or "Stay At Home mOm" adalah peluang berharga yang Allah telah bagi...Tercampak pula di negeri orang, banyak pahit manis dilalui, new things learned and new people met.
Regardless my rampant and complaints, this opportunity is really something i do cherish.
Rasanya selagi tak resign atau pencen, mungkin tak ada lagi peluang "bercuti panjang" dengan keluarga selepas ni...

I am definitely going to miss these moments...

"Flash-slides" for Hamza :)

When Umar attended his tadika back in 2006, his teacher, k. Fauza told me that Umar loved flashcards.
Years later, tiba-tiba teringat remark cikgu Umar and nak try ajar Hamza guna "flashcards".
Flashcards biasanya mahal...kalau beli - samada jadi "gajah putih" atau hilang...

So, jom kita buat sendiri! We call it our "flash-slides" :)
Steps-nya simple je.
What you need :-

1. Less than 10 of your favourite, easy to remember words.
2. Favourite images from the internet.
3. Microsoft powerpoint

Steps-nya senang sahaja.  Pilih perkataan-perkataan yang senang....satu perkataan untuk satu slide.
