nasi himpit mission

i am now waiting for the 12 packets of nasi himpit to cook for jim kuantan's raya do, tomorrow morning...last time i cooked this much of nasi himpit, our kak min was around. was a mandur back then... :) now, if it doesn't turn out well, who to blame?..:P

our usrah has been assigned the nasi himpit & kuah kacang. lucky, we've got one senior kakak who volunteered the kuah kacang..pheewwww! just sms-ed her to confirm how many packets i am supposed to do and she replied almost instantly. looks like a late night for both of us.

abi showed me his du52 letter, earlier this morning. we lunch today @ sara thai, sort of to celebrate the happy occassion. i don't really remember when was the last time we had lunch together, just the two of us. i think it must be at restaurant wak safian at jalan besar 3 or 4 months back - having either sup tulang or ikan bakar.

today was my first time to sara thai. great ambience, fast service.. there are two sara thai in kuantan that i know. this one is opposite/near sk st thomas. pekena nasi putih phakmanau seafood. just curious of it's name. kalau padprik or pattaya dah biasa dengar. turned out the phakmanau got some spice or daun i don't really like. but the gravy is delicious. rice portion is quite small. The best is it's udang goreng tepung...Crispy, juicy, fresh prawns. sorry no pic, camera still broken lah...

aiyyaa, gas finished. 4 more packets of nasi himpit to go...!!
