I always try my best to attend JIM's annual women's wing AGM. usually come as 'pemerhati' or at best, a passive perwakilan. i prefer to listen and learn from the seniors.
at times, i sembang2 with friends/sisters especially my dear Kak Not from perak and sisters from selangor. Or i would go 'shopping' for great tarbiyyah books or cute dresses on sale at the special bazaars usually set up outside. Never in my wildest imagination, i could do any active role in any part of this big event.
Kak Aishah, our Ketua Wanita sms-ed me a week before that i have to bahas the Ucapan Dasar Ketua Wanita (UDKW) Pusat on behalf of pahang delegates...(The UDKW has been written by none other than our dear Dr Harlina Halizah, the Ketua Wanita Pusat). i thought she was kidding...then her reminder came...oh, no. she IS serious! first of all, what to say?? when i read through the e-mailed Ucapan Dasar, it looks perfect to me. what is there to 'bahas' about / elaborate...should i just quote the points i like? :)
anyhow, to cut the story short, i did it. within the allowed 5 minutes. ha ha ha, that's because i scrapped a lot of my meaningless points and keep the inevitables.
