While waiting for the cake to be ready, we have our usual discussion. this time more of muhasabah/getting feedback on our current usrah and how to improve it.
many questions were discussed including the basics of whether one needs an usrah or not, till what age/period of our life we need to be in an usrah system and the symptoms of an ineffective usrah. To me an usrah is important. i started following usrah since i was 20, yet there's so many things i have yet to learn and do ('amal)... And also for the fact that iman goes up and down, i can't afford to depart from the system.
among our main conclusions : whether we are students or working, single or married, with children or without....it's something that we can't substitute even by having muslim parents, good husbands, caring friends or one fine day, a good government. it's good to have friends who will remind you of those things that matters out of sincere love and care for your akhirah...
then, a good one hour later, the fresh-from-the-oven chocolaty cake as our 'REWARDS'!
(i can't help it but food is my fav subject and my mostly used tag!) :)
