Bah di Perlis!

Been quite occupied lately with work.

(Forgot to mention earlier that we've got a new GM in August. The new boss, coming from Johor has ideas flowing like Sg Pahang and new workable strategies!! I like. :) But, this also means, so many things to do, and so much info to dig. And not to mention more meetings and trackings).

Am writing today to seek your prayers for my family in Perlis.
There's been heavy floods there but what i see on newspapers is mostly the Galas by-election propaganda. Coverage on the floods was minimal. The country's so sick!


I was searching for pictures of the floods, since relying on mainstream news won't tell you the real happenings. Nak share some pictures but I'm having problems uploading them.

Some updates on my family there..

My parents had been stuck in town, the day earlier. They could not return home after picking up my aunt from the hospital as the access roads were flooded. his Nissan Vannette could not go thru the water. My dad decided to park the van and walk home instead. They (my dad, my mom and my aunt) had to walk 2-3 hours with water at knee level!

At this point of time, my dad's house not affected by the flood. Harapnya taklah.
The house is in Kg Santan, and his part of the kampung is still dry, alhamdulillah.
But their main issue is food supply. Shops nearby have run out of stock. No rice, flour, nothing. Yillek.

My dad's rice stock at home is limited. There are 4 adults in the house. He was joking that he could chop off a few banana trees behind the house, and make do with whatever they have nearby!! I remember those banana trees, kecik je, ada lah 2-3 batang..:( he said at this trying time, ikan kembung seekor pun satu nikmat!

He also told me his encounters (twice) with snakes and he almost fell into the drain while walking in the water...!

When i called again today, he was about to go out. He had received a call from a relative asking his help as the relative's relative, an off-campus student at UiTM arau and his/her friends have run out of food! I hope Allah will make it easy for Abah and give him strength to help others. i know he'll be very happy and satisfied.

Please pray that the flood will recede soon.
Please pray that my dad, my mom, my sister and my aunt will be okay, and strong thru out!
