Day 3 : Gorge's, Gumeracha & Chocolate Factory

Adelaide has many 'zoos/parks' to see animals - we decided to pick only 1.  Nanti asyik tengok binatang, tak tengok tempat-tempat lain.  We agreed that we need to bring them to see "serba satu"...that is, 1 beach only (Adelaide has many beautiful beaches!), 1 park (..and many parks!!), 1 riverside, 1 animal park, 1 playground, 1 shopping mall...just to make it variety.

Gorge Wildlife Park offers koala handling so we decided to go for it over the other options : Adelaide Zoo, Cleland Wildlife, Urimbirra yang famous jugak.

We traveled using Gorge Road and came accross Kangaroo Creek Reservoir just next to the road.  Mula-mula berhenti kereta nak ambil gambar...Tiba-tiba, Abi kata "Jom turun!"...Budak-budak ni pun, apa lagi, turun jugak...Umi tak nak turun tapi jeles pulak tengok Mujahid dah nak sampai gigi air..

Sambung perjalanan ke Gorge Wildlife Park

Gorge Wildlife Park
Di Gorge Wildlife Park, ada macam-macam binatang - kangaroos, wallabies, camels, birds, ducks, penguins, even crocodiles.  And they have gated sanctuaries where we can enter and actually feed or touch certain animals - sheeps, ducks, wallabies, kangaroos and birds.  Excited nak pegang wallabies and kangaroo.

It is sooo cute, i felt like adopting!

Actually, ada insiden kambing2 yang friendly yang gigit baju kami and kejar Sumayyah.  That's one funny moment yang we all semua takkan lupakan.


The Rocking Horse
Then, off we went to the Rocking Horse at Gumeracha and its Toy Factory.

Well, it is the biggest Rocking Horse!

The Toy Factory, next to the Rocking Horse macam tak ada apa sangat.  Lots of wooden toys on display, mahal-mahal semuanya.


Melba Choc Factory.
Next stop is Melba Choc Factory.  Lots of chocolate of different shapes, sizes & flavours!

But we were expecting the word "factory" to mean some manufacturing going on, see some choc melting in the process plus really discounted items for visitors :) It was disappointing for both factories (chocolate & toys previously) coz there weren't really any production going on. Macam pameran aje.  Just ready made items on display & for sale.  Tapi ada juga chocolate reject shapes tak lawa, 50 cents satu bag kecik...and a big pack of choc bars for $10. Not bad.

Anyways, we did get some free gula2 called "Traffic Lights" worth $5, by using the coupon we collected at Gorge's.

To sum up the day : Fun & friendly animals and lots of walking & climbing.  Balik flat!
Esoknya Muj & jiddah tidur aje sebab penat 2 hari berjalan tak berhenti... :)
