Mem of the House: Mujahid in Adelaide : Day 1

Just some notes & photos of Jalan-jalan Adelaide with Mujahid & jiddahnya.

We have his "iteneraries" planned weeks earlier, so, enjoy our "Jalan-jalan Adelaide in 14 days" series :)
There have been some days where we just stayed indoors and enjoyed his company.
So, tak adalah sampai 14 entries... :)

Day 1 : SUNDAY - Airport, Soccer Match, Brighton Sunday Market, Adelaide Gaol

Unley Park
First place Mujahid pergi right after touch down is the Unley Park - to see Zubayr's soccer match.
Breakfast di tepi padang, alhamdulillah ada kedai buka pagi2 ni - a cup of hot choc for him, latte for me and toast without ham...first time, breakfast kat luar. Mujahid sepak2 bola dengan Hamza sementara tunggu Zubayr habis games. And Zubayr score 1 goal untuk team dia...!

Brighton Sunday Market
We picked Umar later from Cowandilla - team Umar kalah lagi...tak apalah, main suka2 aje.
Then, straight we went to Brighton Sunday Market just to show Mujahid around. Tak ada beli apa2 pun..

Adelaide Gaol
Lepas berehat sekejap, tengok orang Mesia macam semangat nak jalan...so we all bawak pergi Adelaide Gaol (Penjara Lama Adelaide). Actually, the Gaol has its Open Day that day.
We learnt that "Gaol" is the English term for penjara and "Jail" is American.

The Gaol was active from 1841 until 1988. It's now run by volunteers complete with guide tours.
We all sempat join the session where the tour guide shared their ghost stories - of their own and the visitors'. Dah lama tak dengar 'cerita hantu'...since boarding school days. :)

We saw the remand cells, the actual cells (they call them the Condemned Cells), the Hanging Tower, the yards, clinic, canteen, the visitors' room...some exhibition items. Quite cool.
