Day 11 : Victor Harbour

Rasanya lepas ni kami tak pergi jalan mana dah...all the places you could see in adelaide cramped in 2 weeks :)
Ha, ha...

Anyways, continuing our journey on Day 11 to Victor Harbour.
We drove with family k. Ummi and her 3 kids. Berbekalkan mee goreng and sausage buns, we departed at almost 9am and reached Victor Harbour 1.5 hours later.

On top of the Horse Tram - ahead is the path towards Granite Island

Victor harbour is famous for, among others, its views and various local attractions eg museums, amusement park, wildlife park, the granite island, the bluff (another granite formation) etc.  There is a special Horse Tram, which took us to the famous Granite Island and back via the 600m walkway.

The Island itself has a Penguin Centre (opens late evening), a souvenir shop, a restaurant, a field fit for a heli landing and highlight of the trip, a great walking trail.  You could complete the trail in 40 minutes, while enjoying the view of the sea & the mainland.  Simply breathtaking.  The waves, the trees, the rocks...best best. Dah lama tak berjalan,... walking is good...and to walk & enjoy such beautiful views was very very rewarding.

Looks like soon Mujahid will be taller than Abi, insha Allah ;)

i came, i saw and i conquer!

Makhluk Allah yang tunduk ke bumi

May Allah guide our journey together

That's all about Victor Harbour for the day.  There are more to see like whale watching, the Bluff (more trail), penguins (missed that), Urimbirra Wildlife Park etc but we were too tired to explore further so we decided to head home.

you could either walk back to the mainland or wait for the horse tram to pick you up.
After 40 minutes of walking around the island, i was more than glad to wait! ;)

Alhamdulillah for a great day out.  May be next time, we'd come again.
