Day 10 : Central Market & Attempting the Giant Slide

Central Market

Approaching day 14, we knew we have to get some souvenirs.  A quick visit is necessary to the Central Market - Adelaide's Chinatown for this purpose.  The CM also has its own wet markets and specialty shops like cheese, bakeries, florists, meat etc. 

I got Mujahid some t-shirts - dia pun tak keep track baju-baju di asrama, rasanya banyak dah hilang kut... Mujahid got his friends some key chains & little tokens.  

I definitely will come here again between now and November, insha Allah!  Ada nak pesan apa2? :)

St Kilda, Again

Abi picked up the kids from school and straight bawa rombongan Central Market ni ke St Kilda.  

I wrote about our first visit to this playground before.

It is a special playground with all of its "toys" in superblown size.  

It has great view of the sea too.

Mujahid & alam...melihat garisan2 perak menembusi awan

Rupanya Mujahid dah 'besar' and a bit tired.  Too cold for him to have fun. Hmm, after all, it is winter...Mujahid tak teruja pun nak cuba the giant slide or the flying fox.

Yang excitednya adik-adik.  Maknya pun excited! 

Sebelum ni kami datang hari sabtu, ramai orang. Kali ini, tak ada orang (it was Tuesday :), )...so we've got the whole playground almost to ourselves.  yes, this time i did the flying fox..and the giant slide! 

Giant slide ni asalnya yang berani Abi & Mayyah aje.  My curiosity made me climbed the many stairs, but not enough to go down. i sat at the top screaming to Abi that i couldn't do it.  Abi dengan bersungguh2nya memberi semangat.  Behind me, Umar & Zubayr tunggu, depa pun takut nak turun.  

Ummi macam nak give up aje, tapi tak best bila dengar Umar & Zubayr pun cakap nak give up.

So, Ummi pun terpaksa la memberanikan diri...Agak takut sebab the height & shape of the slide tu buat kita tak nampak certain parts of the slide from the top, macam ada blind spots...pure tawakal and i let go of my hands, & let gravity did the job...huhu

True enough, i twirled and did not land on my feet. Ouch!

Umar & Zubayr pun turun lepas Ummi...i was too dizzy to sorak for them.

But, that was my last lah...enough thrill...
