The House has new occupants

Alhamdulillah, we have rented out the House.

It all happened so fast. We were called by this couple at about 3.30pm, saying that they were coming to see the house in 2 hours.  It was "kemas in 'turbo' mode"!

The little episodes of "Sell This House" on channel 732 suddenly became very useful.  One great tip was to try make the prospective tenants / buyers easily 'relate' with the property. They need to be able to imagine living there while making the inspection 'tour'. To achieve this, we removed all clutter and all our "personal" belongings like photo frames, children school books, food on the table, clothes, towels and whatever we think that the tenants are not interested to have/see.
Whatever on display racks, book shelves, bathroom cabinets - all cleared by 5.30pm the same day!
The trick - we dumped everything in the back room and under the beds...ha ha ha..

That same night we received both good news and "bad" news.
Good news is they agreed to rent. Alhamdulillah!
BUT the not-so-good news is they wanted to move in 3 DAYS.
That means, we had less than 72 hours to evacuate and find a new place to stay.

We agreed to move out to make way for the tenants...our house was in berantakan' sight 3 hari 3 malam...
Our lives had never been so stressful!
From sorting out where to stay, to adding air-conds and water heater as requested by the tenants.
We had to decide instantly what things to keep, throw, give, loan, bring, add, repair, replace...
We even made a few trips to send our plants to my auntie's at Galing camp.

We are now staying at a friend's homestay.
95% of our stuff are in boxes and suitcases.

yes, i am officially a SAHM.
The kids think that every day is a Sunday coz Umi and Abi dah tak keja.
Both of us are finishing up our annual leaves. But we are far from "duduk saje" as there are tonnes to do!
And yes, kak Min is gone for good.
My progress on domestic skills department is at snail pace...:P
Never mind that, eh? one day at a time..
